Download V-Card Download V-Card Feature!

You can now download any individual's phone book information into your personal computer address book. Palm DeskTop users will see the entry in their PDA after synchronizing. Files are in a standard v-card (.vcf) format used by most address books.

Macintosh:

  1. Click on the Download icon beside the entry you wish to save.
  2. Choose Save File As... in the dialog box and then select a convenient location to save the file (e.g. to your DeskTop).
  3. Double-clicking on the .vcf file will enter it into your default address book application*. If you wish to enter it into another application, simply drag the file to that icon.
  4. After you've entered the event by double-clicking on the icon you can delete the .vcf file by moving it into the Trash.

*Note: To change your default application for these files, do a Get Info on the .vcf file. Click on Open With, choose the application you wish to use (e.g. Palm Desktop), and then click the Change All button. All .vcf files will now open into that application.

Windows

  1. Click on the Download icon beside the entry you wish to save.
  2. If you are asked to either Open the file or Save it, choose Save and then select a convenient location to save the file (e.g. to your DeskTop).
  3. Double-clicking on the .vcf file will enter it into your default address book application. If you wish to enter it into another address book, launch the address book program and simply drag the file to that application.
  4. After you've entered the event into your address book, you can delete the .vcf file from the DeskTop.
